Director and Workforce
profiles. K & T Engineers
can be justifiably proud of its workforce. The team consisting of eight
including the Directors are multi-skilled and multi-tasked. This flexible
approach to work means greater variance for the workforce with less
tedium in the workplace and brings enormous skills benefits in product
quality and output for our customers.
The team consider new customer orders, design specifications and requests
for quotation as a challenge not as a problem. We are quick to acknowledge
if we cannot fulfil your needs and will be honest with you.
Meet the team:
Samuel Kuropka – Director.
Joining us straight from school in 2003, Sam has diligently supported
us since then. Appointed as a Director in 2016 he continues to support
us at all levels within the business.
Alex Kuropka – Director.
Joining us from Southampton University in 2005, where he studied Chemistry,
Alex is CNC Mill trained in programing and operating. His shop floor
skills have proved invaluable as he has moved into helping to manage
the business. Now in his 30’s he assists in Sales, Purchasing, Estimating
and Production management.
Terry Phillips.
Nearly twenty years at K & T Engineers, Terry is a skilled turner by
trade but his lifetime’s experience in Milling, Fitting, Fabrication
and General Engineering is a rare asset. At 79 years young Terry has
a lifetime’s experience pretty much unrivalled by others, which he is
continues to share with the younger members of our team, sometimes without
swearing!
Lee Young – the Centre Pin.
Lee was apprenticed at K & T Engineers and has 31 years engineering
training and experience under his belt. He is a qualified CNC programmer
and operator, multi skilled he has supported in all areas of manufacture
since joining K & T as an apprentice. Lee is responsible for implementing
and upholding our ISO 9001:2008 Quality programme. He has achieved his
NEBS Diploma in Supervisory Studies. Lee is very customer focussed and
enjoys the challenge of finding solutions to customer needs. Our ‘Right
hand man’.
Doug Brown.
Doug has been with us for nineteen years, he started his engineering
apprenticeship in 1969. A time served apprentice Miller and general
machinist, Doug programmes and operates our CNC mills and looks after
all milled components. His skills have been developed and applied in
Commercial, Aerospace and Military engineering.
Paul Bulpitt – BA (Hons), FCCA
Our Finance advisor Paul, has offered professional advice and support
from day one of acquiring K & T Engineers in October 2000. As well as
watching our financial affairs, Paul is a senior partner in his own
Accountancy practice.
Bernardine Kuropka – Company Secretary.
My wife of 38 years, Bernardine liaises between our Accountants and
K & T and assists us by maintaining a watchful eye on the business and
ensuring compliance issues are met.
Bernard Kuropka – MA, DMS, Dip M, MCIM
Managing Director since October 2000, he began working life as an Apprentice
maintenance fitter in the early 1970’s before going on to hold many
Management positions in Industry and Commerce; both in the Product and
Service Sectors. He continued to reinforce Craft based learning with
academic, resulting in several post-graduate qualifications. Learning
is a life-long experience. K & T Engineers remains at the centre of
his focus.
